Leith in Chronotope

About This Project

Memory becomes a visual artefact in this conceptual video installation that features a 360 degree moving image capture of Leith’s iconic urban landmarks. Through digital editing techniques such as collage and montage, interstitial transitions, oral history, and other contributory modes in filmic production, space in distant times are fused together in an immersive video environment. This interactive narrative, a new type of moving image media, demonstrates the power of the new tools of inscriptions that explorers new ways and means of thought process. It empowers the audience to take their role as an active signifier in the cinematic world; in this case, an immersive audiovisual experience of time and space in fusion.
